Cells
Cells are the basic unit of any living organism. A cell is a single unit – the smallest in your body that is capable of carrying out life by itself. All your life processes go on inside these tiny units which are packed with even smaller organelles all busy carrying out chemical reactions. A cell also has a complete copy of the organism's genome, its DNA.
