Ovaries
Ovaries are the two small organs inside a female's body where the egg cells are produced and stored. Each ovary is about the size of a walnut, and there is one on each side of the uterus or womb, the special sac where the baby grows. The ovaries also produce the hormones oestrogen and progesterone.
