Immune system cells

Immune system cells are a group of different types of cell especially designed to safeguard you. Harmful germs (viruses or bacteria) can destroy cells in your body and if you are infected by them, your immune system cells will spring into action and start to seek out and destroy the germs. Your immune system cells include lymphocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, dendritic cells and natural killer cells. In addition, your body’s cells create barriers to stop you being infected by harmful germs.
