Cell membrane
Cell membrane is a flexible fatty skin that protects the cell’s insides from harm. The membrane’s main job is to separate the cell from the outside. It stops germs (virus and bacteria) from invading the cell. It has special transport gates that choose what goes in and out. The cell membrane transmits chemical messages to and from the cell.
