Opening times and admission
Admission to Centre of the Cell is free of charge for all visitors.
Centre of the Cell is open Monday - Friday. During school hours the sessions are reserved for groups; for example school, home school and youth groups.
Centre of the Cell is fully accessible to wheelchair-users.
Everyone will need to register before booking, so that we know how many people are coming and - in the case of schools - what Key Stage the students are in.

Outside of school time, Centre of the Cell will be open to anyone.
You must register online before coming to visit to book a place in the timed show. During our opening months, session times are as follows:
- 9:30 - 11:00
- 11:30 - 13:00
- 13:30 - 15:00
Directions on foot from Whitechapel tube.
- Turn right outside Whitechapel tube and continue to the crossroads where New Road meets Whitechapel Road.
- Turn left across Whitechapel Road.
- Continue straight along New Road, then take the second turning on your left into Newark Street.
- You will see a large, modern, glass and steel building with a glass linking walkway approximately 25 metres along Newark Street on the right hand side. This is Blizard Building.
- Turn right into the central area below the linking walkway. The entrance to Centre of the Cell is through the main public entrance in the building on the right hand side.

Parking
Parking is limited to a small number of metered parking spaces for cars. There is no parking for coaches, only a drop off point on Newark Street, directly in front of the Blizard Building, the building that houses the Centre of the Cell exhibition.
There are no specific disabled parking spaces in the immediate vicinity.
Facilities
- There is a cloakroom for bags and coats.
- Facilities also include many toilets, including disabled toilets
- There is a lift, providing step-free access the Centre of the Cell, which has no steps.
Accessibility
- No raised steps to the entrance of the Blizard Building.
- Lift to facilitate access to the Centre of the Cell pod on the first floor of the building.
- Disabled toilet.
Risk assessment
