Day 1: Tim meets with his GP
Tim meets with his GP to discuss his treatment options. The GP looks over Tim’s medical notes. There is no other treatment with fewer side effects currently available for Tim.
However the GP suggests that Tim could take part in a clinical trial for an experimental new asthma medicine which may work better. Tim wants to know more, so the GP arranges for Tim to contact the Research Nurse in charge of the trial.
