Week 4: Lindsay goes back to the GP for more tests
Lindsay goes back to the GP clinic on day 21 on her menstrual cycle for a second blood test to look at her progesterone levels. Progesterone is a hormone: the GP will be able to tell if Lindsay has ovulated by looking at how much progesterone she has in her blood.
Lindsay also sees the general practice nurse who gives her a smear test and checks that her uterus and ovaries feel normal. The nurse also tests Lindsay to see if she has a chlamydia infection.
Lindsay is told that they should get the results back in three week’s time.
