What’s Next in STEM?
A bespoke program for Year 11/12 students interested in pursuing STEM careers.
The Programme
Centre of the Cell is a uniquely placed informal science learning centre situated within Queen Mary University of London and a working biomedical research facility called the Blizard Institute. Drawing on these strengths, we have developed a series of workshops for Year 11/12 students that will help them explore more about university and the wide range of careers in STEM, particularly biology, to help inform their aspiring career paths.
Each programme can be tailored to your school by choosing the 5 sessions that best suite the needs of your students. The programme can start at any point in the academic year, during term time. Our term timetable is set to our local borough Tower Hamlets, at the time of booking we will work with you to agree the dates and frequency of delivery that works best for you.
See below to start tailoring your programme, select 5 activities from the list. There is also an optional add-on Mentoring by Queen Mary University of London Medical & Dental students who are well placed to share their lived experience of navigating the next steps into STEM.
