Skin Cells on a 2D Plane at 20x
Suki Blythe
The blue circles are the nuclei of skin cells. You can see many skin cells are present in this image. These skin cells have been stained with involucrin (red), which is a differentiation marker meaning these cells are becoming more specialised. They have also been stained with Ki67 (green), a proliferation marker, indicating these cells are in the process of dividing.
