The Good Neighbours
Amelia Acha-Sagredo
The image shows a a section of a colorectal cancer sample. T cells (CD8, red), NK cells (N-CAM, yellow), macrophages (CD68, white), and cancer cells (panKeratin, green) were identified via immunofluorescence. We observed that response to immunotherapy is enhanced in patients with colorectal cancer that show enrichment in local neighbourhoods where cytotoxic T and NK cells, and antigen-presenting macrophages interact with cancer cells.
