Myfi Williams

Learning Officer

I present shows and workshops to visitors along with office duties and supporting the running of the Youth Membership Scheme.

How long have you worked at Centre of the Cell?
I started in March 2018.

What is your favourite science fact?
A brain freeze is caused by the reduced temperature interacting with a major nerve in the roof of the mouth called the trigeminal nerve. If you press your tongue to the roof of your mouth during a brain freeze it will warm the nerve, causing the pain to stop quicker!

What is a fun fact about yourself?
I have held a human brain.

Which Centre of the Cell show is your favourite and why?
Invasion! Infection and Immunity as I helped to develop it and love the concepts that are covered.

Myfi has previously worked at the Science Museum and has also been an anatomy lab facilitator for undergraduate Biomedical Science students.
